Alaska's Real Life Taxidermy offers the best fish mounts available. Whether a saltwater or freshwater fish mount, we specialize in accurately detailed fiberglass fish replicas, custom-molded fiberglass reproductions and skin mounts, which are created and custom painted by master taxidermist Mark Oslund.

Our taxidermy studio is extremely dedicated to providing the highest quality craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, which is seen in the high visual appeal of our fish mounts. With over 25 years of intense study and dedication to reproducing the natural swimming pose, precise anatomical accuracy and realistic color, our fish mounts are commonly considered to be among the best available.

Skin mounts are desirable to many people because they are custom made from the actual fish caught. Accurate body sculpting and detailed painting techniques can be seen in the realism depicted in each of our skin mounts. A high degree of craftsmanship and state of the art techniques will also insure that our skin mounts will last a lifetime.

All reproductions used by Alaska's Real Life Taxidermy are proprietary and are the source of our many national and state awards. We have achieved a very high degree of symmetry and accuracy with our molds, which are unsurpassed in the industry.

Deemed to be of high scientific value due to their precise anatomy and accurate color blending, our own custom molded fiberglass reproductions are being used for study by the University of Alaska Anchorage. Our fiberglass-cast reproductions are also being used by the North Pacific Fisheries Observer Training Center in their Species Identification Course.
