Arctic Char or Dolly Varden

A 34" male Arctic Char caught on the Noatak River, Alaska. Note the detail in the painting of this fish mount, the blue halos around the spots is one example. It is because of this exacting detail that Mark Oslund is known as one of the best fish taxidermists in North America.

Scientific name: Salvelinus alpinus alpinus. The beautiful Arctic Char is found throughout many of the watersheds of Alaska.
